Razor Electric Scooters: it kind of reminds me that this series is the reason why the modern scooter was redefined. The E-Series Scooters are the reason why I learned the functionality of electric scooters for a practical user.
Even so, we wanted to take you in a more casual point of view to consider which Razor electric scooter is the best for you.
I have prepared my views on different electric scooters from the E-series. This will help you choose which one would be the best buy for your own use.

#1Razor E300 Electric Scooter
This is the electric scooter that I choose personally. The Razor E300 Electric Scooter is a scooter on the moderate price range, yet the specifications are really reasonable and are somehow above my expectations.
Considering all the features and overall appearance, this is a great buy anyone could ever have.
But that’s all basically based on my opinion. You may still check whether this will be suitable for you as well.
Features
Considering all the features and overall appearance, this is a great buy anyone could ever have. But that’s all basically based on my opinion. You may still check whether this will be suitable for you as well. Its extra wide pneumatic tires are perfect to ensure a smooth travel along slight unevenness on concrete roads.
So, you can drive around neighborhood and town without even worrying whether the roads are safe or not.
Its hand-operated brake system ensures that you can really regulate the speed of your scooter. Just make sure a speedometer will come in handy, since this scooter does not have a readily-available dashboard.
Or, you may use your smartphones and tablets that are equipped with your needed measuring tools for your travel.
As for the battery, the scooter is powered by two 12-volt lead acid battery that can juice up to six hours for a full charge.
If you are just a little into beginner crash course on traversing over some hilly terrain, the Razor E300 Electric Scooter is a nice choice to start with.
But, here’s a downside though – you can’t expect your Razor E300 Electric Scooter to be your next alternative form transport.
With the absence of lock features, dashboard statistics, and measuring tools to monitor the functionality of the vehicle. And get this, even to the point you don’t really have the idea of how much juice has already injected into the battery! It’s quite difficult to travel without these things, right?
Hence, it is highly recommended for aspiring users to use it mainly as a leisure transport. It’s more like an upgraded version of your favorite scooter.
Comparison Table
PROS
- Wide pneumatic tires for smooth ride
- High torque chain-driven motor
- Hand-operated throttle and rear brake
CONS
- Long time consumed for battery charging
- Needs some assembly before using
#2 Razor E200 Electric Scooter
Now, let’s talk about beginner’s choice. If you think that the Razor E300 is a little too advanced for you, you may want to check its relative electric scooters. As a beginner, you may need to start with a little practice first.
I highly suggest that you take a good look into the Razor E200 Electric Scooter because it provides a much “beginner’s” perspective on electric scooters at a very affordable cost.
With a price that is under $300, the Razor E200 Electric Scooter might be a little steep, but it got some pretty decent features.
Features
Aside from the high torque chain-driven motor and the presence of the twist-grip throttle and hand brakes, the Razor E200 Electric Scooter has the capability of reaching up to 12 miles per hour. Pretty much slower than the E300.
The pneumatic tires are not really that great, since it only measures 8” in diameter. But, it is largely appropriate for beginners especially if you are aspiring to be urban explorers.
In terms of its battery performance, the scooter includes a UL-approved charger, so you don’t have to worry about overcharging your scooter. Like the E300, it also has two 12V lead batteries. Apparently, the Razor E200 Electric Scooter is often considered as the grand daddy of the Goldilock aspect in the Razor E-Series.
The weight capacity of this scooter is very ideal for those who are in the middle range. But keep in mind that this is not that suitable for the lightweight kids who wish to get an early dash into the concrete streets without protective gear and not for the heavy-laden adults either who wish to take their urban soul by riding cool scooters.
Although it might be slightly bigger than the early E100 model, the Razor E200 can actually carry its own balance. A perfect match even for the most inexperienced riders. The speed of this particular model is fast enough to be enjoyed but not that fast enough to go beyond control that can be a hazard to safety.
You may need to give additional protection tools such as knee pads, elbow pads, and head hear to smaller or younger kids when riding this scooter. Needless to say, parental supervision is mandatory
Comparison Table
PROS
- High torque chain-driven motor
- Includes UL-approved scooter charger
- Average speed is within acceptable normal city speed limits
CONS
- Takes about twelve hours for a full charge; 24 hours on worst cases
- 40 minutes of travel time on a single charge
#3 Razor E100 Electric Scooter
Here’s the deal: if you want your kid to get an efficient yet colorful electric scooter, the Razor E100 Electric Scooter is probably the best one in market. Also, it is a great kid starter especially when one is looking forward to his future scooter endeavors.
Surprisingly, at a price under $150, the Razor E100 Electric Scooter is a perfect choice of gift for kids if they wanted to hitch rides downtown.
The scooter’s colors vary from red, blue, pink, and purple.
Features
Since this electric scooter from the E Series is largely designed for kid’s usage and entertainment, it is only capable of handling up to 120 pounds of maximum load. And I wouldn’t really say that the E100 can have another hitchhiker!
But, like any other electric scooter in the series, it still has a high-torque chain driven machine – although it would require you a manual kick-off of up to 3 miles per hour before you can actually use it. Talk about a scooter warm-up!
It is designed to go fast but not fast enough to get your children branded as neighborhood menaces! The Razor E100 Electric Scooter is surely every young kid’s dream toy. At first glance, your kids would love the style that comes with the scooter.
Starting the E100 electric scooter does not require a complicated process. All your youngster needs to do is to give the toy a light kick. This simple start up process reduces the chances of speeding up too soon which could be hazardous for the young ones.
When the scooter begins to steadily move, the electric motor responds by sustaining the motion. If anytime during the ride your kids feel like they are going too fast, they can always manipulate the rear brakes to keep them at a comfortable pace.
With the high torque, chain-driven motor and twist-grip throttle, the scooter will give your kids at least 40 minutes of non-stop fun with a maximum speed of 10 miles per hour. Keep in mind though, your kid should weigh less than 120 lbs.
Comparison Table
PROS
- Perfect for kids eight and above
- Adjustable handlebars
- Colorful selection of your scooter based on preference
CONS
- Long charging time
- Not suitable for uneven roads
- Pneumatic tires for asphalt and/or concrete use only
#4 Razor Power Core E90 Electric Scooter
An electric scooter that is significantly lightweight and doesn’t use pneumatic tires as wheels?
You might want to consider adding the Razor Power Core E90 Electric Scooter as another item in to your wish list.
As a matter of fact, you will be surprised the way I did when I learned that this electric scooter is very affordable.
You won’t need to shell out above $150 in totality!
Features
The manufacturers and engineers of the Series claimed that have already increased their core technology. The electric scooter itself boasts of its doubled time travel improvement. Starting from 40 miles per hour all the way to 80 miles per hour usage in a single charge. Don’t forget that this scooter is also powered by a chain-driven motor.
You can actually choose what your scooter will look like in terms of its colors. The options and variations are quite wide. Whether you like blue or red or even a tone printed it with a Spiderman-themed wallpaper, it is largely possible with the E90 Electric Scooter.
The wheels are actually made of urethane, so it is a perfect scooter for kids who aim to be like a typical urban guy who wants to go sailing around using the Razor Power Core E90 Electric Scooter.
By the way, the greatest assed of this scooter is that it has an excellent charging time:max time usage ratio. Surprisingly, even it is equipped with the same battery with the Razor Electric Scooter Series (the 1 AH lead battery), it has succeeded in providing only 40-60 minutes of charging time, hence this is the perfect electric scooter for a kid who is more into repetitive usage of the scooter with minimal charging time.
Comparison Table
PROS
- Double average distance covered
- Color variations to choose from
- 10 mph of average speed
CONS
- Urethane wheels; not suitable for uneven roads
- Low maximum payload capacity
- 90 watt motor; below average type of motor
#5 Razor E325 Electric Scooter
Maybe, I am not that really observant, but the Razor E325 Electric Scooter is actually a good buy, and if you’re not a good observant, it is a succession from the other large Razor E-Series.
Priced under USD 300, the Razor E325 Electric Scooter has also a chain driven motor that can reach at a maximum of 15 mph.
It has a dedicated regulator lever to ensure the average speed is constant. And just like any other Razor E-Scooter, the E325 has large 10” pneumatic tires, supports two 12V lead batteries and has an adjustable handle.
The probable addition to this guy is a free mini-toolbox for every scooter (just in case you might hear unnecessary from your motor while speeding).
Features
My friend actually bought this for a short commute from beach parking to work which involves putting it in his car. He had a compact hatchback and while it is heavy, he could lift it in there without issue if the handlebar folded down.
Unfortunately, since it does not fold, it is super awkward due to the weight and trying to wedge it in the trunk sideways. It is so much effort it may not be worth transporting it as it is originally intended.
Personally, I find it very exhausting. And as much as I like the idea of transporting it and making the electric scooter as compact as possible, it is not that suitable at all.
Nevertheless, if this is up in your alley, then you must go for it.
An additional inclusion perhaps for this model would have to have some sort of welded metal loop so you could easily lock it to a bike rack if running a quick errand. Safety and security measures must still be observed. Hence, it is just only appropriate for you to include locks and loops when you opt to buy this electric scooter.
Comparison Table
PROS
- Adjustable handlebar
- Top speed of 15 mph
- Black finish for a sleek design
CONS
- 45 minutes of maximum usage
- Charges up to twelve hours
- Suitable for kids from 12-year old range
#6 Razor E150 24-Volt Electric Kick Scooter
Looking for an electric scooter that is meant for kid’s entertainment? If that is so, this electric scooter is perfect for the kids in style who want to get cruising around their own streets.
The Razor E150 24-Volt Electric Kick Scooter should be easily said as one of those perfect giveaways for aspiring kids who want to have an early taste of scooter riding.
Having a chain-driven motor just like the rest of the Razor E-Series, the Razor E150 24-Volt Electric Kick Scooter is capable of reaching a top speed of 10 mile per hour. .
Features
The scooter itself requires two 12V lead batteries, has urethane wheels, and can hold up to 120 pounds of maximum payload
I was able to witness how this electric scooter works as my nephew received his own from his birthday. Being myself as an avid enthusiast, I tried analyzing each feature and parts. And as would I put it simply, this is the predecessor of the Power Core E90.
Comparison Table
PROS
- Twist-grip acceleration type
- Chain-driven motor
- Safe top speed of 10 mph
CONS
- Urethane wheels; not suitable for uneven roads
- Low maximum payload capacity
- 12 hours of charging time
#7 Razor E125 Electric Scooter
Just because the Razor E125 Electric Scooter is on the last of this list doesn’t make it the worst item on this list. In fact, it has pretty decent specifications.
For a price line under USD 200, it is without doubt that the Razor E125 Electric Scooter is the real primer for kids wanting to get into this electric scooter rage.
Features
Equipped with a 24-volt-powered chain-driven motor, the Razor E125 Electric Scooter is capable of taking speeds of about 10 mph. se only).
Unlike with the E135, the scooter is using two polyurerthane wheels, hence it is the perfect practice scooter for kids (that is, for the concrete road u
While there are quite a lot to choose from especially for kid’s usage, this makes a great addition to the list creating a wider range of options for you and every buyer.

Factors To Consider Before Buying the Razor Electric Scooter E-Series
Although electric scooters might seem too general for some, but try to look into these factors before considering buying one of the E-Series made by Razor:
The variations and distinctions would make it a bit challenging for you and anyone to choose and buy a certain electric scooter.
Now, it will be best if you try to discern first the factors affecting your buying powers. These factors are essential as they will pretty much lead you to the most suitable electric scooter for you.
Try to look into these factors before considering buying one of the E-Series made by Razor:
1. Target User
First off, what will be the age range of the end user?
If you plan to give someone- say, an eight-year old kid, you might want to consider purchasing an electric scooter with the least average maximum speed limit.
This decreases the perils of having your kid or the young ones end up getting an unwanted cartwheel or barrel roll on the pavement and suffer from scratches and bruises.
As for users and owners that come from the ages of 16 and up, they might want to level up starting from the E90 and above. I believe that the average speed limit is already acceptable for someone using it.
Note: be a responsible driver. Being older doesn’t give you the privilege of acting careless when driving the scooter. Consider the overall surroundings before deciding on whether increase speed or not.
In my experience as an electric scooter enthusiast, I highly recommend using the first and early versions of the Razor Electric Scooter Series.
These versions include the E125 up to the E90. Well, these models are the perfect types for middle aged ones that only wish to start their seemingly imaginary career of being an early enthusiast of electric scooters.
Of course, safety must be still the top priority. It is highly advised to safety equipment.
Nature Of Ride
For the hard rock riders out there, I highly recommend the E100 to the E300 series, as they are more durable for all the die-hard electric scooter users out there. Since they are mostly built on strengthened aluminum scooter build, it can withstand the weight and at the same time can assure to the end user that the optimal speed as described by the product description is in lieu with the expected speed performance, as analogous to the weight specifications of the scooter itself.
While it seems the rock-hard scooters are the ideal choice of urban explorers or plain people who only want to use it on work, bear in mind that obviously safety always come first. Read more a comprehensive guide for scooter age by age here.
2. Type Of Wheel
In this buying guide, there were two types of wheel mentioned, the urethane type and the pneumatic tire.
If you’re a starter and only wants to do some little strolling nearby without even exceeding the speed limit, then the urethane is the perfect choice for you. However, if you are already experienced in handling rough roads, then opt out for the pneumatic tire ones.
For kids who seemingly only want to do some a little bit of rounding across small destinations, like going to their feasible nearest neighbor, they can actually prefer to use the electric scooter models with the urethane tires as the inclusion for the wheel specifications.
However, if your kids (or the adults in inclusion too) will aim to go for larger lengths of distance–say for getting to and fro on large area on the green park or rather as an alternative for your public transport to cut off time costs, using the scooters with the pneumatic tires are the best option to go with. it is more durable, efficient, and effective even it lacks a dedicated tube for air containing.
You can find some of the best electric scooter for kid’s in the link below:https://landroverbar.com/best-electric-scooter-for-kids/
Besides, pneumatic tires have dedicated spikes and patterns that can assure great amount of friction between the road and the wheel itself.
So, you really need to know whether you are buying for entertainment alone or you intend to use it for other purposes too. This factor would largely affect your decision-making since variations of the electric scooters fall significantly in these two types.
3. Charging Time: Maximum Single Use Ratio
As the end-user, you must consider the ratio in determining the best scooter for you. Longer charging hours mean more endurance in maximum time travel.
As for scooters that only require shorter charging hours, they might actually ring a bell for modest maximum time travel.
Disclaimer: maximum time travel depends on the frequency of usage. So, this can still vary depending on your personal use.
For starters, you can opt out for the Razor Electric Scooter models with the greater amount of charging time if you plan to use your own scooter for leisure purposes or on short walks.
Alternatively, you may use the Razor Electric Scooter models with the least amount of charging time if you are the typical e-scooter user who always use it on a daily basis. Either as an alternate method to go to work or for endurance travels, you must be wise to choose the scooter with less charging time.
4. Security Features
Another factor that you need to consider is the security features. Certainly, we all have this notion that when we utilize scooters and motorcycles, there will always be risks and dangers included.
So, when choosing to buy a scooter even if it’s electric or not, security features are an important aspect to regard.
Accordingly, one of the most important assets of a scooter is probably the essence of whether a scooter is safe for travel. And if there might some greedy eyes ready to take over, the chances of stealing an electric scooter with decent security features will not pose a potential threat for robbers.
In this case, however, the Razor Electric Scooter Series don’t really have a decent security feature, as the models are all powered by a simple switch, either a knob or a on/off button.
As a precautionary measure, an accessory lock shall be bought separately and shall be placed on a strategic location between the rear end of the scooter and the gab to the rear tire.
Find a scooter that will support a much larger space for the accessory lock, or else you might want to have your electric scooter an easy bait.
If you are sure that no one will steal your possession, or you are certain that your place is safe from intrusions, you may disregard this aspect of the scooter.
Nevertheless, it is always important and essential that you take proactive steps and measures to prevent unwanted events from ever happening.
Remember that prevention is much better than cure.
Net Weight:Portability Ration
Another great asset of why the scooters are sought to buy for is their portability. In this case, the end user must decide on the analogy of the net weight of the product and the portability itself. Most of the models of the Razor Electric Scooter Series are actually portable, but not to the point that you can actually fold it and easily carry it like a lone stick.
For some of the models, it requires to take the scooter apart piece by piece and screw by screw, before you can actually transport it for a much minimal space.
Here’s the thing, if you’re the type of a backpacker who always love to travel and wishes to take their scooter easily anywhere where they go, you can always opt out for the foldable Razor scooters.
However, you must bear in mind that there is a higher chance that the weight proportion for your travel might be sacrificed.
On the other hand, if you are the type of guy who is more into a stationary type that doesn’t want to have its scooter disassembled by part and uses regularly for endurance purposes, then the scooters with a more thicker padding and metal build are the ideal types. They are not foldable and compact which is actually suitable for your daily needs
Verdict
To conclude it all, the Razor E300 Electric takes it all. With a price line placed on the middle range, you can get a pretty decent state of pneumatic tires perfect for some humps along the way. Although all of the aforementioned scooters high-torque motors are already given, the E300 features a much larger deck and frame for maximum feet support. The only giveaway is the maximum time, in which I highly commend the speed of Power Core E90
Nevertheless, E300 really took me away. What do you think? Is this the right one for you too?
Conclusion
Whether you’re just a kid wanting to try out some quiet strolling, an adult wanting to get to a nearby work, or an elderly wanting to stroll on the park just for more greenery, the Razor Electric Scooter E-Series is a great tool anyone could utilize to fulfill these wants, hobbies, and desires.
These are the reasons as well why the Series has a lot to offer. They have such diversity of these scooters to choose from, whether from the financial-savvy person, or the guy who’s more into the specifications rather than the price itself. In short, you can choose which one could be the best one for you depending on your considerable factors when buying an electric scooter.
Sooner or later, the E-Series might soon as well dominate the e-scooter market. Maybe we couldn’t get more excited than a new release from Razor.
Besides, to top all of that, the Razor Electric Scooter Series are a heck of bunch for all aspiring e-scooter rides to get their grip on. So, we just couldn’t wait for all e-scooter enthusiasts out there to get on the rage and at least try (well, borrow if you don’t mind for some case) the colors and portability of the Razor Electric Scooter Series.
What are waiting for? Go and check your nearest market now and try to see which one will catch your eye.
